How far my family and I have come over the last year. In January 2008, we received Audrey's diagnosis of methylation positive/deletion negative. In December 2008, we learned our daughter has a Imprinting Defect with Mosaicism.
Audrey has the usual AS symptoms, including seizures and severe sleep disturbance. She also has several usual symptoms not typically found in AS - obesity, hypotonia, aggression, anxiety of new places and people, difficulty with medication, chronic constipation - and as a result isn't always happy.
Today, I focus on how I can help, support, advocate and/or encourage Audrey to develop to her highest potential. I look forward to talking with parents about AS, ID, best professionals/therapies in the Portland area, sleeplessness, constipation, aggression, or just to listen.
