Andrew is having the second dose of the swine flu jab tomorrow. Anyone had any side effects with the second dose? Is a high temp more likely with this one?

Hi
Hannah has just had her first one. She is OK at the moment - although she obiously has a sore arm as she pulls it away.
Let me know how it goes with Andrew

Triniti had her second dose 3 days agao and has been fine. She did much better with this one. No fever, or arm hurting like with the first one. Hope this helps you. Good luck. _________________ ~Meredith Villarreal~

Just read that kids under 10 are now only to have one dose rather than the two!!!
Anyone else heard this?

When Andrew got his second dose on Wednesday, the nurse mentioned that. She just said it was nonesense, that they do need two doses. By that time andrew had had his second dose anyway! Hes been fine with the second dose too. No side effects at all.

Both my girls had the second dose with no ill effects.
I see no reason to not give it to them because the first time they get the regular flu shot they have to get two doses and even though they are older (they got their first flu shotb between 6mos-1yr) why shouldn't they get the follow up booster of it? O well as long as they are healthy thats all that matters! _________________ ~Meredith Villarreal~

Hi
From what the Health Authority are now saying its been cancelled due to high incidence of very high temperatures i.e. 39c+ and bad side effects. I am really pleased about this as Hannah wasn't well after the first one last week Apparently tests are showing that the 0.25 dose is enough for children under 10 they don't need the full 0.5 dose! Makes you wonder why this wasn't worked out BEFORE giving it to goodness knows how many kids.
Hugs
